Chapter 24
Jareth's P.O.V
Jareth sat in his throne and absent-mindedly listened to his chief of staff, Greta. Admittedly, she was one of his least annoying Goblins, following his orders without question or mishap and never bothering him without good reason.
Today, however, he was finding her tedious. He was exhausted from his long journey the previous day and had arrived late to find Fenrir waiting in his study.
He thought back over their late night conversation.
He had strode into his study to find Fenrir lurking in the shadows.
"You'd better have an excellent reason for being here Fenrir, I thought I told you to watch Sarah!" He said
The only thing I could hear was the sound of my head pounding. The softness and warmth of the bed I was in was begging me to go back to sleep, but I knew I would never be able to with this headache. Even though my eyes were closed I could tell the room I was in was dark, but there was a dim light to my left. I decided to lay there for a few more moments before opening my eyes and aggravating this hangover.
After about 5 minutes of thinking through last night’s very muddled memories and regretting every drink I took, I opened my eyes.
The room I was in was medium sized, from what I could tell, belonged to someone who was just moving in.
